Small supermarkets are everywhere, including several Coviran branches. If you are looking for English or Dutch products Foodstore Andaluz on Calle Pintada has an excellent selection at very good prices.
For fresh meat seek out an independent butcher, who will provide far more choice than the supermarkets, and provide a personal service. There are several fishmongers, and numerous greengrocers which also offer a wider selection than the supermarkets.
The nearest out of town shopping centre is El Ingenio in Velez Malaga, a 15 minute drive along the motorway towards Malaga. Malaga itself has all the major retailers, including the department store El Corte Ingles, Ikea and Leroy Merlin, a DIY store.

There is also a new one on the corner of Los Huertos where it joins the pedestrianised section of Calle Cristo (next to DBs and The Cottage). That might still be there when you next visit.

If you mean the one on the corner which sells wine and jamon – yes it’s still there, but I don’t know it’s name.
