A 12 year old boy was seriously injured by the propeller of a boat yesterday (Saturday) evening, whilst trying to get on board in one of the bays at Maro.
The emergency services (112) were called at 6.10pm who despatched a helicopter to the the scene of the accident, along with members of the Guardia Civil, local police and the lifeguards.
The child was rescued from the water and given first aid, before being transferred to hospital in Malaga.
According to initial reports the 12 year old slipped whilst trying to board the pleasure boat and was injured by its propeller.
