This weekend Burriana beach will host the XVII Travesía a Nado de Nerja swimming competition, where around 200 swimmers, including the Veteran World Champion, Joaquín Canales de Mendoza, will take part.
The competition will be held on Sunday, the 18th of August 2013, at 11am and will be over a distance of 1,200 metres. There will be trophies for the 1st and 2nd placed swimmers in each of the categories and medals for the 3rd placed, plus trophies for the first local swimmers to cross the finish line.
Categories will include all age groups from 8 years old upwards.
