At the close of the World Travel Market trade fair at the ExCel Centre in London, the director of the Spanish tourism board, Manuel Butler has said that the Andalucian tourism market has an optimistic outlook for 2013. Along with the Balearics, Andalusia is benefiting from increased demand from the British market and that this demand will continue to increase next year.

So far this year, British visitors to this region have increased their hotel stays by 13% compared to the previous year, with every month, other than April, showing an increase in visitor numbers. Separately it has been announced that British demand for holiday rental properties in the Costa del Sol has increased by 11% in October compared to the same period in 2011.

The Andalucian Tourist Board have been exhibiting at the World Travel Market trade fair over the four days of the show, promoting Andalucia as a holiday destination to tour operators and other membeers of the travel industry.
