On Sunday March 27th there will be a day of music and entertainment in Nerja’s Plaza de España to celebrate its official inauguration, and the highlight will be the free concert by Antonio Cortés. If you are in town do not miss it. The map below the video of Antonio shows where the square is.
Antonio Cortés
was born in Romania but has lived almost his whole life in Nerja after being adopted as a baby. He came to public attention after winning the TV talent show Se llama copla, which unlike the disappointing talent shows in the UK, actually promotes traditional forms of singing and song writing. A copla is a poetic verse sung to music, often accompanied by just a single flamenco guitar, and is an important part of Spanish folk music.
