Every year the plam trees on the Balcon de Europa in Nerja get a pruning. The work is dangerous and the area below the palms are cordoned off to prevent passers by being crowned by falling pieces of wood and branches. By next summer the trees will be back to their full glory, shading the impressive promenade to one of the best views in Europe from the sun, meanwhile the christmas lights are going up on the palms, ready for the festive season.
