Under cloudy skies, crowds of people line the route of the final procession in this years Semana Santa. Despite the dire warnings of rain all afternoon from the forecasters, the rain held off and the procession went ahead as planned.

This last procession is the end of the Easter parades season and tomorrow things go back to normal in Nerja, with shops open as usual and schools back after the Semana Santa holiday week.

The Nerja Donkey Sanctuary easter egg hunt also went ahead despite the threat of rain, and is still going strong with many people attending to feed the donkeys and listen to the live music.

The next event in Nerja is Residents Day on April the 14th, followed by Dia de La Cruz in May.
