Nerja Ayuntamiento has announced that during the last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of September, townhall employees will have to work an extra hour a day, leaving work at 3pm instead of 2pm. The council has decided to suspend the agreement made in 2006 which allowed workers to leave an hour earlier as the council offices now have air-conditioning, allowing work to continue in the heat of the early afternoon.
However the reduced hours will still apply in July and August.
