Nerja Missing British Man Named As Gordon Simm

More information has been released by the Guardia Civil of the 63 year old British man from Yorkshire who went missing after setting out from Nerja into the natural park at the weekend. He is Gordon Simm, 5′ 9″ (1.75m) tall , 11 stone (70 kilos) in weight and he was wearing dark grey shorts and t-shirt, a backpack, hat and beige boots.

It is believed that he may have become disorientated due to the foggy conditions on Sunday morning and as a result deviated from his intended route. As such searches are also continuing on the Granada side of the regions border, in the area of Los Castillejos and Peña Escrita (Almunecar).

As well as search parties on the ground, including the Malaga Fire Brigade Canine Unit, a helicopter is also being used.

Gordon Simms is a regular visitor to this area and was reported missing by his wife Wendy on Sunday evening.
