Ángela Lobato who (along with her partner Paula Soria) took the silver medal in the Under 22s European Beach Volleyball Championships held in Bulgaria in August, has been shortlisted for an award in this year’s “Premios Pasaporte”. The Nerja athlete has come second in the first stage of the selection process, gaining 24% of the votes, just behind Sara Ouzande with 27% of the votes in the Promising Female category.
The winners of each category will be chosen by a Jury of 15 sports people and the results will be announced at the end of the year.
Last year’s winner of the Promising Female category was the triple jumper Ana Peleteiro who won Gold at the IAAF World Junior Championships held in Barcelona.
