Andalucia’s 96 Blue Flags have been delivered to the 31 different towns in the five Andalucian provinces that have been given the prestigious award. The ceremony took place in Marbella and Nerja’s councillor for beaches, Nieves Atencia, attended to collect the Blue Flags that Nerja has been awarded for Burriana and Torrecilla.
The Blue Flags are awarded in Spain by the Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor (Adeac) which are part of the Federación Europea de Educación Ambiental (FEE).
The ceremony to deliver the Blue Flags was presided over by the mayoress of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz and the councillor for Tourism and Commerce, Rafael Rodríguez.
