Nerja council have announced that new lighting will be installed around the Balcon de Europa. The new lighting will use low energy LED and conventional bulbs and will be embedded in the ground, to illuminate the Balcon’s walls on both sides.
The total budget for the project is almost €90,000, which is being funded by the County Council. The work is planned to take three months.
Nerja’s mayor José Alberto Armijo has welcomed the new project saying that the lighting will be a tourist attraction, improving the image of Nerja and the Balcon de Europa and its surroundings.
