Description

In a traditional Spanish village the house stands at the upper edge of the pueblo. This quirky dwelling has the benefit of easy parking, good access to local amenities including the bakery and fresh produce practically sold from the door step. From the terrace you can watch how life goes by in a chilled atmosphere.

The accommodation comprises a front double bedroom with sea & mountain view, a second double bedroom and a court yard bedroom with 2 x single beds.  A cot can be provided free of charge.  The living room has a sofa bed for one person if needed.

There is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, basin and WC and a downstairs bathroom with shower, basin and WC.

Fully fitted with washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric hob & oven.

The living room has a comfortable sofa bed and armchair, TV, DVD player, satellite for UK channels, a radio cassette and coffee table.  There is a breakfast bar next to the living room.

Outside there is a private jacuzzi/spa pool in the lower court yard suitable for 4 persons, and a covered terrace area for dining al fresco or just relaxing. There is also a small terracotta terrace overlooking the court yard and spa and a large roof terrace with sea views of Torrox Costa with sun bathing facilities.

Towels and linen are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

This property is not suitable for wheelchair users. There are some parking spaces directly outside, however there is a new free level car park, less than a minutes walk away. Living accommodation is over two floors with steps to the upper roof terrace.

Prices below are for 6 people.  If the sofa bed is needed an additional charge of £50 will be made.  Minimum stay is 3 nights at £60 for the property per night.

Local Amenities and Torrox

The unspoilt, typical Andalusian village of Torrox is located inland but only 5 minutes by car, or 20 to 30 minutes on foot from Torrox Costa, the nearest beach to the house.  This lovely resort has plenty of promenade restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. Children’s play area on the promenade and beach.  Nerja is a 10 minute drive along the stunning coast road and has extensive sandy beaches with churinguitos perfect for alfresco dining, wind surfing, and fishing.  In the other direction is Caleta marina, 15 minutes by car and is a lovely peaceful place to dine in a tranquil surrounding.

In Torrox the house is close to a local mini mart with extended opening hours, 3 banks, a post office and many bars and restaurants.  There is a bakery and an indoor market, an attractive church in the main square, hardware stores and souvenir shops, and a miniature museum of local interest.  A taxi rank and bus stop within a 10 mins walk.

There are many day trip opportunities from Torrox. The award winning white village of Frigiliana is only 8 km away with a wonderful mountain scenic route.  Competa village is 15km inland via winding roads with stunning views of mount Maroma, and this village has a lovely church in the main square surrounded by restaurants and tapas bars with extensive menus for all tastes, regular entertainment venues with flamenco plus varied multicultural local talent with theme nights!
