Jose El Frances will be playing at the Cultural Centre in Nerja on Friday 8th July.
This is a real treat for flamenco lovers in Nerja. Jose El Frances was instrumental in developing what has become know as ‘Flamenco Pop’, a description that he himself coined.
José Rodríguez Vázquez was born in Montpellier in 1971 to an emigrant gypsy family. He grew up listening to Camaron and this defined his future. Years later, Jose visited Spain and ending up staying in the gypsy settlement of Los Focos in Madrid where he began to compose and took on the name ‘Jose El Frances’.
Since then he has had several hugely successful albums and this is a night not to be missed.
The concert starts at 10pm.
