Nerja Photo Club was founded in 1991. Since its inception the club has set out to promote the love of photography by organizing meetings, competitions, courses, exhibitions and other activities related to photography. Some of its members who began as amateurs have become professional photographers: publishing their pictures in National Geographic, winning numerous awards in national photographic competitions, exhibiting their works in galleries and teaching courses and seminars.
