Nerja council has passed a motion to ask the Andalucian Coasts Department to install a pedestrian bridge at the western end of Playazo Beach where the Rio Seco river crosses it. In the winter, when the river is flowing strongly, pedestrians have to wade across to reach the Hotel Marinas de Nerja, which makes access to the beach from the hotel difficult. Ironically Rio Seco means Dry River in Spanish.
