According to the travel website Tripadviser Nerja is among the main destinations in Spain for holiday rentals. Nerja is beaten only by Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian and Marbella. TripAdvisor has said that holiday property rental has many followers and that it is getting “more and more important, mainly because of the freedom it provides and the cost savings.”
According to the report 67 percent of Spanish holidaymakers plan to opt for this type of accommodation for their holidays in 2012.
The Top 10 Spanish holiday rental destinations are: Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian, Marbella, Nerja, Benidorm, Conil de la Frontera, Calpe, Denia and Corralejo.
In Europe overall the leading destinations are Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Venice and Dubrovnik.
