As is usual at this time of year the race is on to repair the damage to Nerja’s beaches that has happened over the winter months. The main beaches at Burriana, Torrecilla and El Salon are all in a good state, but El Chucho (opposite the Perla Marina hotel) has suffered badly during the winter storms and is badly in need of remedial work. To this end Nerja Council has approved a motion to ask the coasts department to repair the beach in time for Easter.
According to the councillor for beaches, Sandra Jimena, “it is of vital importance in the run up to Easter and the summer that the beach is completely regenerated.”.
