In a sure sign that summer is on its way, Nerja council has announced that the application period for kiosks will open on Monday the 18th of February 2013. Anyone interested in operating a kiosk over the summer months will have until the 1st of March to get their application in.
This year there will be a total of 20 kiosks around the town, open between the 22nd of March and the 15th of October, selling fizzy drinks, ice cream, crisps and sweets. The kiosks are located on the various beaches of the town and also on street corners and squares. At El Salon and Carabeo beaches the kiosks are the only places you can buy a drink as those two beaches have no cafes or bars.
Application forms can be obtained from the town hall, along with the list of requirements and documentation that will be required.
