December 6th is ‘Dia de la Constitucion’ in Spain and is a national public holiday. Nerja’s cultural department has organised the first ‘Muestra Artesanal Villa de Nerja’ or craft market to give local artisans the opportunity to display their skills and to offer their products to residents and tourists.
The craft market is in the Plaza de Espana just behind the town hall and is open from 11am until 5pm and over 50 local artesans have already signed up to take part.
With Christmas only a few weeks away this market is bound to give you lots of ideas for unique gifts.
The Nerja Museum is also set to open its doors to the public for the first time on the 6th.
