A total of 16 people entered the desserts competition held as part of the Veladilla de San Miguel festival over the weekend, with the winner being Paqui Rodríguez Figueroa whose entry was “cake pops”. Raquel Arrabal came second with a dessert of Arabian origin.

Local residents also made cakes and other sweet items, so much so that there was chocolate left over in the “chocolatada popular” that was held in Plaza de Andalucia on Saturday.

In the facades competition, first prize went to Casa Charlotte who donated the winnings to the Barriada de Las Protegidas. In the house doors competition, the winner was Nieves Atencia Villegas.
