Dia de la Cruz (Day of the Cross) 2016 takes place on Tuesday the 3rd of May, with a total of 16 crosses on display in Nerja, Frigiliana and Maro. These brightly decorated crosses will be the focal points for street parties throughout the afternoon with music and dancing at the different locations.
There will be music on the Balcon de Europa at 5pm, beside the cross next to the church.
Maps showing the locations of all the crosses are available from the tourist information office on the Balcon de Europa and visitors are invited to take a tour around the town to see all the crosses in their splendour.
There will be prizes awarded by the council, including for the best cross in this traditional May fiesta.
