The eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S is a slimmed-down version of the standard RoboVac 11. It’s one of the most affordable robot Vacuum Cleaners(Vacuum Cleaner) eufy has in its generations. This compact robot is ideal for maintenance cleaning on hard floors and low-pile carpet. Not suitable for high-pile carpet and very dark-colored floors.

Even though it’s not as advanced in smart functions as other of the pricey models, it does what it should do, that is cleaning your floors. It has a lot advantages, consisting of the very slim appearance that allows it to get under most of furniture and other lower points than its bigger brothers.

It also runs for up to an hour, has a large size dustbin, and BoostIQ adjusts suction power  automatically when required. There is a no perfect robot vac, though, and this one is no exception.

Let me tell the details so you can make a decision if this one’s suitable for you.

What do you get with the RoboVac 11S?

Within the box, there’s the vacuum, charging station with AC power adapter, a remote control, 2 AAA batteries, cleaning tool, extra set of filters, 4 side brushes, and 5 cable ties to wrap up cords that can tangle up the machine.

Battery run time: At most 100 minutes
Capacity: 0.6 L dustbin
Noise level ~ 55 dB: Quiet operation
Dimensions: 12.8’’ W x 12.8’’ L x 2.85’’ H
Weight: 5.85 pounds
Warranty: one-year limited( any problem call for customer service)

Although it’s supposed to already have enough juice to get it working right away, it’ll cost about 5 – 6 hours to fully charge a dead battery. Before vacuuming, the guideline recommends a few preparations. With the included cable ties, you can wrap up any loose cables or cords and get them out of the way.

Search for other tangle hazards like shoes with laces, ribbons, yarn, belts, rug tassels, etc. Just a simply decluttering wouldn’t be wasting much time.

You’ll have to put the batteries (included) into the remote. Then start it up, either press the button on the robot or use the remote, which has more functions, including various cleaning modes as well as scheduling.Small Vacuum Cleaner(Small Vacuum Cleaner’s post about

How does it navigate?

Nonetheless the IQ in its name, the RoboVac 11S isn’t exactly that smart. It does automatically return to its charging dock, but can battle with that since it is unable to map out your house. So if the battery runs low when it’s several feet away from the base, you may find it stop under your bed or dresser.

Unfortunately, there’s no WiFi, app or voice controls to help it along either. However, it has infrared-sensor for evading obstacles, and drop-sensing tech to avoid falls. Along with anti-scratch tempered glass-top cover for protection.

The cleaning path, however, is random. The RoboVac 11S keeps on going until it senses an object, then turns and goes another random direction. That’s why it’s a good habit to clear the floor of stumbling blocks as much as possible so it doesn’t bounce around like a ball until the battery runs out.

You can direct it to one place or another by the remote control, but you need to be very close to the vacuum. This isn’t the vacuum for you, if you want to control it from work or while lying in bed.

Four cleaning modes with scheduling
Single room
On the remote, you can choose the RoboVac 11S to clean with one of 4 different modes. Auto mode works with the scheduling feature on the remote so you can set it to clean at certain times on different days.

Every mode has different timed cycles, while auto being the longest. Both spot clean and auto mode are customer favorites.

BoostIQ and suction power

When you first use the RoboVac 11S, it will be on BoostIQ by default. This is an auto-adjusting suction mode. Automatically increases 1300pa of suction power( a little lower than RoboVac 11S Max ) within 1.5 seconds when extra vacuuming strength is needed to get the best clean. If the results seem like not you want, you can turn this off and choose a specific amount of suction.

The edge clean attitude does well for collecting those dust and crumbs that hide at the baseboards. But the round shape doesn’t allow the RoboVac to reach nooks and some of the square models. The brushes that sweep out in front of it help with that in some cases, but they have to be aimed directly into the corner to clean it totally.

Some customers suggested using auto mode for the whole cleaning, then switching to edge mode to better clean the nooks.Best Handheld Vacuum(look at this site)

Why do customers like the RoboVac 11S?

As one of the popular robot vacuums with tons of great reviews, it’s apparently that customers do like this device. By far, the favorite factors of this vacuum were its affordability and ease of use. The low profile was another favorite feature, with several people mentioning how the vacuum got into places they never clean, like under bed, TV stands, etc.

Some customers mentioned how quiet it is. At 55 dB, it’s no louder than a operating microwave. People who work at home don’t want to be disturbed with it running in the background when have a conference call. It might be a little annoying, if you’re trying to sleep or watch a quiet TV show or something.

Where some robot vacs have issues going over thresholds between rooms, customers reported that this machine has large wheels roll over carpets and climb over door ledges to get to the mess. And RoboVac 11S has a triple-filter system which combines a dual-layer filter and one high-performance filter to achieve a clean home.

What are customers not liking about the RoboVac 11S?

Pet hair was hit or miss. For many house with hard floors, the RoboVac 11S picked up pet hair fine. For others, specifically on carpet, it missed amount of hair. Also, hair tended to get stuck up in the brushes and had to be cut out. At the bottom line, this robot vacuum is one of the least expensive of the group but also received one of the lowest overall scores. In comparison, irobot roomba s9 is great at picking up pet hair, cleaning carpets, and offers you a smart home, except it is a little expensive.
