The heavy rain that fell on Thursday and Friday caused minor flooding and road closures in Málaga province and also flooded several streets and houses, with 36 flood warnings in total.
The downpours closed nine roads in Ronda, Axarquía and the Guadalhorce Valley and there were also rock falls and mud slides on eleven other roads, according to the council.
There were power cuts in Riogordo, El Morche, Igualeja and Torrox Costa and in Cártama, 20 metres of the sport centre’s outer wall collapsed.
In Nerja two buildings were cordoned off by the police when cement rendering fell from their walls onto the street below but otherwise no major damage has been reported in the town.
