Greater Manchester Police missing persons unit have issued this appeal for help in helping find Gary Butcher who they believe may be in Nerja – full description and contact details below.
“It is believed that Gary Butcher is currently in the Nerja area… there is a possibility he may be in a confused state / possibly suffering from depression. There was a sighting of Gary during Xmas 2012 when he was seen walking around the town centre .. the informant at that time said she thought he looked ill. Gary has dual English/ Spanish citizenship.
Gary is not in any trouble but the lack of contact with his family and 2 children in the UK is totally out of character and they are desperate for news that he is OK ..”

Missing since: June 2011
Gary had been living in Benalmadena, Costa del Sol for 8 years, up until June 2011 when he informed family he had moved to Nerja. Gary may be in poor health
Last possible sighting Nerja Boxing Day 2012
Gary is 6ft 1 in tall of medium build and has shaven brown hair and blue eyes
