The Spanish gas company Gas Natural Andalucía has announced that they intend to be able to supply the entire Málaga coastal region, from Manilva to Nerja, by 2013.

The Managing Director of the company, Manuel Gil explained at a press conference held today that the Costa Del Sol is one of the most important markets for their business and that “It’s one of the largest market niches that exist in Spain”.

During 2012 the company plans to invest some 9.3 billion euros in the region, compared to the 8.8 million euros which was spent in 2011. The company also has three wind farms in Malaga, at Casares, Los Llanos and El Juncal, with a capacity of 43 MW.
