Tickets for this years Nerja Caves Festival have gone on sale and can be purchased from the Caves ticket office, and from the caves official website (link below). On the advice of the Cave’s scientific committee this year’s festival will be smaller than in previous years, with only four performances and no internal set dressing. This is to reduce the impact the festival has on the caves themselves.
The programme starts on the 20th of July 2013 with a concert by the Nerja Municipal Band and pianist Daniel Ligorio on the Balcon de Europa.
The first performance in the caves themselves is on Wednesday the 24th of July with a the Salzburg Soloists String Quartet playing a selection from Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, Piazzolla, Gershwin, accompanied by the clarinetist Ferdinand Steiner.
On Thursday the 25th of July its the turn of the Victor Ullate Ballet company with “El arte de la Danza”, celebrating its 25th anniversary.
On Friday 26th of July, the singer Pastora Soler will be performing.
The festival closes on Saturday 27th of July with the Manolo SanlĂșcar orchestra performing Medea.
Tickets are the same price as last year, being between 25 and 40 euros and can be purchased here.
