Saturday 8th October
Nerja Feria 2011 will start on Saturday with Children’s Day where all the rides will be half price until 7pm.
At half past eight the official opening will take place, accompanied by the Municipal Band and at half past eleven in the Caseta Oficial the “Reina de las Fiestas” and the “Caballero of Nerja” (Feria King and Queen) will be elected (€10 entrance price).
Sunday 9th October
On Sunday from 12 noon, the Caseta Oficial is hosting the group La Carpa and the election of the children’s “Reina” and “Caballero”.
From three o’clock in the afternoon in the Caseta Oficial, dance groups and local artists will perfom until eight o’clock. After a short break, the Caseta Oficial will reopen its doors and at 12 pm there will be the star performance of the group Ecos del Rocío (€10 entrance price).
Monday 10th October
On Monday 10th, (a public holiday in Nerja) at 1pm, there will be the Grand Parade through the streets of Nerja. At 2pm pensioners crown their own King and Queen.
At eight o’clock in the evening there will be a procession of the Patron Saints of Nerja and from eleven o’clock in the Caseta Oficial, the II Rocieros Choir Festival takes place.
Tuesday 11th October
On Tuesday its the Day of the Tapa. In the evening, in the Caseta Oficial, there will be a special performance by the duo Andy and Lucas who will present their latest album, “Pido la palabra” (€10 entrance price).
Wednesday 12th October
On Wednesday at noon the fair will begin with various activities. At the same time mass will be held in the El Salvador church, in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of the Guardia Civil.
At four o’clock, in the Caseta Oficial, will be a magic show with Luigi. At midnight there is a perfomance of the “Noches de Copla” show, which will feature Raquel Peña and Monica Marquez.
