Lourdes María Herrero CenturiónLourdes María Herrero Centurión who recently won the Andalucian swimming championships in the 100 metres free-style category for her age group, attended a ceremony at the town hall, where she was awarded a plaque by the Mayor (pictured right) in recognition of her achievement. Also pictured are her trainer Adelina Ortega and councillor for sports José Alberto Tomé.

At the championships held in Cordoba, Lourdes Herrero also won silver in the 200m and bronze in the 200m free-style. She will now go on to compete in the Spanish Swimming Championships to be held in Manresa starting on the 12th of July and is the first person from Nerja to take part in the national championships.

The mayor congratulated the young swimmer and her trainer and urged her to continue achieving new things for Nerja sport.
