The “Opus One” Big Band are performing tonight, Thursday the 23rd of May 2013, at the Nerja Cultural Centre. The band was formed in 1987 in Germany and is made up of 21 professional musicians. Their repertoire includeds diverse musical styles, such as swing and jazz from the 1930s and 40s, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, blues, soul, latin pop and ballads.
The band has performed in more than 200 concerts in different countries around the world and tonight it is Nerja’s turn. Tickets are €5 and the proceeds are going to be donated to the San Miguel Arcángel association to purchase instruments for Nerja’s drum and bugle band.
The Nerja Cultural Centre is on Calle Granada and the performance starts at 9pm tonight.
