The German director and writer Doris Dörrie is planning to film scenes for her next production “All Inclusive” in Nerja. Scenes will be set in both the present day and in the 1970’s, so expect to see flared jeans, three piece suits and rayon amongst the more normal socks, sandals and floppy hats.
The film maker has been visiting the town to scout out all the usual locations such as the Balcon de Europa, Calahonda, Caletilla beach and El Salon, as well as the walkway that runs from Calahonda below the Balcon. All the beach scenes for the film will be shot in Nerja, although filming will also take place in other locations in the Costa del Sol.
Doris Dörrie has won numerous awards at film festivals, including Best Screenplay and Best Director and was also nominated for a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for her 2002 film Desnudos.
Filming is scheduled to start in Nerja at the end of the month, after which it will continue in other places on the coast.
