The luxury 7-star hotel that is planned for development in the hills overlooking Marina Del Este near Nerja, took a step closer to getting underway last week. Both Almuñecar’s mayor and the regional government delegate in Granada re-confirmed their backing for the project
The developers behind the project, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts’, announced that the €230 million investment was set to go ahead and construction of the complex on 13,300 square metres of land overlooking the marina could start before the end of the year and is expected to take 36 months.
The new hotel is expected to create up to 600 new jobs in the area.
