Heavy rain has been falling in Nerja this morning as the yellow alert from the Spanish Met Office continues for coastal areas in the Malaga region until midnight tonight.
Although the rain has been very heavy at times, it is nothing like the storms that hit the area last November, causing nearly €900,000 of damage in the municipality of Nerja alone.
The forecast shows that light rain is set to continue this afternoon, with a temperature of around 17°C, with clear skies and sun tomorrow and temperatures of 19°C.
The unsettled weather returns at the weekend, with several days of light cloud, some rain and high winds forecast.
