You can tell that the summer is coming to an end. Today the Nerja council have sent out the boat to collect the yellow buoys that act as demarcation limits for safe swimming.
The beaches from Burriana to Playazo have these marker buoys in place from the end of June until October, the busiest times for tourism in Nerja. Swimming within these buoys is safe as they instruct boats to keep out.
Now that the markers are gone, if you are going to be swimming be aware that there is now no obvious safe area although boats should still keep away from the beaches.
