Nerja has many modern well equipped playgrounds around the town and also on some of the beaches, with equipment suitable for all ages of children. Some of the playgrounds also have a few facilities for adults, such as exercise cycles.
Burriana beach has a series of small playgrounds on the beach itself, next to the promenade. These are dotted along the length of the promenade and allow mum and dad to sit having a drink or a meal in one of the restaurants whilst the children play the other side of the promenade.
Torrecilla beach has a small playground at the bottom of the steps opposite Bamboo restaurant and Plaza Marina has a slide, climbing frame and other equipment and there are a number of bars at the end of the square for the parents.
The map below shows the locations of the main playgrounds in Nerja, with the largest one being beside the riverside path near to the Supersol supermarket on the west side of Nerja:
