This Sunday, December 11th, the Nerja Green Party and the Izquierda Unida have organised a walk from ‘El Pinarillo’ picnic area (see map) near the Nerja Caves to the ‘Cerro Mangueno’ summit a few kilometres from the start. The picnic area is 5km from the caves and is accessible by car. The route is steadily uphill and is categorised as medium to easy in difficulty.
The purpose of the walk is to give those taking part a bird’s eye view of the area that will be destroyed by the development of the proposed golf course.
If you are interested in joining the walk it begins at 10am. On your return to ‘El Pinarillo’ there will be paella and a drink available for only €2.
Don’t forget to wear suitable shoes for rough ground and to take some water with you.
