Playazo Beach is the biggest in the Nerja area, being 1700 metres long, and is also the least developed. It begins at the western side of the Rio Chillar and a track follows the beach for almost its full length. This track passes small agricultural plots, a boatyard and bar, and further along there are a few chiringuitos, or beach restaurants, offering excellently priced drinks, paella and seafood. If you have a car you can drive along here.
The beach itself is excellent for water sports and swimming, and at most times of the year it is often deserted, making it ideal for those who prefer a quiet environment.
Redevelopment of Playazo Beach is being planned; so take advantage of it whilst it retains its rugged character.

But you can have a nice long walk along the track that runs at the side of Playazo Beach, just keep your dog off the beach itself

Hi, do you know if any of the beaches in Nerja allow dogs on them?

Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed on any of Nerja’s beaches and the local police will tell you off if they catch you.
