Yet another tapas bar to open in Nerja’s old town (close to the Balcon de Europa) is La Mar Salá at the bottom of Calle Pintada (just down from La Piqueta). This welcome addition to the tapas bars in this area, has a small front terrace and a lovely garden terrace at the back, plus an inside bar and more seating.
As well as tapas, La Mar Salá sells cartuchos (paper cones) of fried food, from croquettes to mixed fish at very reasonable prices, and has a menu of seafood, available as raciones or half raciones.

Review
Great location right in the centre of town and just a very short stroll to the Balcon de Europa and the beach. Beware though that the square itself is not yet finished, and there may well be construction work going on on nearby buildings.
