Great idea!! Cigarette butts everywhere look and smell disgusting... As for setting the cone alight, put sand in the cone first, stub it into the sand :)

Paper cones? Paper + fire? Good idea . . .? As a smoker, doesn’t sound like it to me.
Even in standard ashtrays, there can be a combustion if the ashes are not thoroughly put out and it is difficult for me to imagine tamping out a stub in a *paper* cone.
I have always used a can, of the type one gets with “Sucrets” – small, easy to carry, contains the ash and stubs well, and, most importantly — it does not burn or have the capacity to cause a fire.
