The horse and carriage rides that give visitors a tour of Nerja, have started again near to Plaza Cangrejos (by Torrecilla Beach). Motorists need to be aware that the car parking spaces that the horse and carriages operate from are now no-parking, and illegally parked vehicles will be towed away.

I was on holiday in July in Nerja and thought the horses were kept out in the heat for too long. Every night they were tethered until at least 11.30 pm. So hot and boring for them. Are they fed and given water?

Good, it’s nice to see the horses; they are part of the charm of Nerja and I’ve always enjoyed seeing them – I still miss them on the Balcon though.
