Application Period Open For Use Of Exhibition Halls
If you would like to put on an exhibition in one of the council run halls in the first half of next year, you have until the end of this month (September) to make your application.
Application forms are available from the Cultural Centre on Calle Granada, or can be downloaded from the council website.
Town Hall Open Longer
Nerja town hall staff will be working longer hours under a new law. From September 1st 2012, public workers have to work 37.5 hours per week (up from 35 hours). To comply with this new law the town hall will be open from 7.45am until 3.15pm (although public access is only until 2.15pm).
Nerja Council Asks Junta To Cancel Fine
Nerja council have decided to appeal the decision taken by the regional government to fine the organisers of the retail fair held in the Plaza de España last february. According to the Junta, the fair should not have been open on a Sunday and imposed a fine of €3000 as a result as we reported here .
