Schools in Nerja may be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd May, as unions have called a general strike in the education sector in protest at the planned cuts by the national government. It is not clear how well supported the strike will be and it remains to be seen whether schools will in fact be open, or will be forced to remain closed due to lack of staff.
Unlike the general strike back in March, no other services or sectors should be directly affected by the education strike.
