Yesterday (Thursday) evening at 8.45pm two masked men robbed a currency exchange office in Castilla Perez in the centre of Nerja. The robbers used an electric stun gun on the employee of the establishment, an Argentina woman, and fled the scene at high speed in a white BMW car with 300 Euros worth of cash.

The Guardia Civil were quickly on the scene, and put patrols in place at all the main roads out of Nerja as well as in nearby Almunecar, Torrox, Algarrobo and Vélez-Málaga.

Forensic specialists from the Guardia Civil examined the premises and found various fingerprints left by the robbers at the scene.

As yet no arrests have been made.
