The “57th Carrera Urbana Popular” street running event, takes place on Sunday the 6th of October on the Balcon de Europa. The running starts at 10am and goes on throughout the morning with different age groups taking part in the various events.
The races are in different categories, with children as young as 5 running over 500 metres, right through to the main event at 10am which covers 8 kilometres around the streets of Nerja.
At midday the “Caminata Popular” is over a 1 km route for all age groups at walking pace and is free to take part in.
Entrance to the races costs €1 and participants can register on the day itself up to 30 minutes before the start of each event. The 8 Km race costs €5 to register for (online in advance on www.nerjaatletismo.es) or €8 on the day.
All entrants will get a free t-shirt and there a prizes for each category.
