For the next month the Nerja Museum is hosting an exhibition of the work of the architect Bernardo Pozuelo, with original drawings and scale models on display.

Bernardo Pozuelo, who is Nerja’s tourism councillor, has had a career in architecture spanning more than four decades, designing hotels and resorts including the complex for the 1995 Alpine Skiing World Championships held in the Sierra Nevadas.

On show is a large sample of original drawings of big resorts along the Andalucian coast – including Barceló, Riu and Iberostar.The exhibition aims to not only show the importance of Bernardo Pozuelo’s work, but also to encourage a new generations’ interest in the world of Tourist Architecture. The opening night was attended by the president of the Nerja Caves Foundation, Jorge Hernández Mollar, the mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, the president of the County Council, Elías Bendodo and the president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol, Óscar Medina, amongst others.

The exhibition is open until the 13th of October 2013 from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 6.30pm.
