Apiculturists have the next nineteen days to get their applications in to rent bee hives in the Pinarillo, Barranco Sierpes and Mazuelas areas. There are a total of eighty bee hives in each three year concession which will run from the 1st of October 2013 until the 30th of September 2016.
The bid price for each concession is €264 and it is claimed that the number of hives has been set in order to guarantee a sustainable and rational exploitation of this natural resource, according to studies carried out by the Agriculture, Fish and Environment Department.
