The rural hostal on the path up to the Fuente del Esparto just outside Nerja, could open this month, once improvement works are complete. The company that was awarded the contract to run the hostal and the El Pinarillo restaurant back in May, has been working on various improvements, including the installation of solar panels to supply the complex with electricity.
The hostal will have 20 beds, in five modules, plus a series of communal areas, such as a lounge and terraces etc.
Nerja’s Councillor for the Environment, Nieves Atencio, has welcomed the imminent launch of the resort as an improvement to rural tourism in the area and has said that the council will continue working on such projects that give value to the Natural Park.
The Fuente del Esparto can be reached by following the track that starts just before the car park at the entrance to the Nerja Caves.
