The very popular Italian cafe (da Tino) in the small street beside the church at the Balcon de Europa has closed down at the end of August. In its place, the owner of the building is in the process of opening his own bar, complete with barrels outside.
Da Tino Italian cafe was a genuine Italian owned cafe, tucked away in a side street next to the church, serving pizzas, pastas, ice cream, croissants and coffee all at reasonable prices. Summer evenings were the best times to visit, with many people stopping for dinner or just a drink, on this narrow cobbled street.
A disappointing day for visitors and locals who enjoyed a chocolate croissant and a coffee at the Italian Cafe.

Hi Gail Not seen you for a while, used to love a chat with coffee at Tino´s with you. Next time I am in Nerja we will have to go elsewhere. Any suggestions?

Such a shame-best coffee in town and doing well on Trip Advisor too! Tino and co looking for a different location though so all is not lost! They were moving to the old mini-golf venue in c/malaga but negotiations fell through….watch this space!
