This year’s winner of the Ruta de la Tapa (Tapas Trail) is La Tahona Holandesa with their “Carne Holandesa Con Patatas Fritas” (a thick meat stew served with chips).
Mo Gastrotapas came second with “Mar Exotico” (prawn on deep fried banana, with rice and a mango sauce).
Third place was awarded to the Parador who served tuna with guacamole.
The lucky winner for dinner for four is Robert Hawthorne, who gets to dine at La Tahona Holandesa.
No details on which establishments finished last, but Tapas Bar Biznaga will hopefully not bother to enter again next year after serving what appeared to be something they found left over in the fridge from the night before, in salad cream, as their attempt to impress.
