Producciones Lastra are back in Nerja, performing at the Nerja Cultural Centre on Saturday the 15th of December at 9pm, with their new tango show as part of the Noches de Tango series. Tickets are €12 and full details of the show is as follows.
This show features the “Fabian Carbone Tango Ensemble” an Argentinean tango company with live musicians, singer and dancers that promises to be a spectacular fusion of tango dancing, music and sensuality presenting from traditional pieces by Gardel to contemporary Piazzolla´s Tango. The fusion between the popular and the classic is present in this concert where they play tango classics as El Choclo, Volver or La Cumparsita with Astor Piazzolla’s music, which also takes elements of Bach, Stravinsky, Bartok and even some elements of jazz. The choreography it is also unique for this show raising the audience’s feelings in every performance, offering technique, sensuality and passionate dance.
Carbone is recognized as one of the best bandoneón soloist based in Europe. With an extensive career, he studied tango composition attending classes with Rodolfo Mederos, Héctor Mele and Julio Pane. He has played in many international tango and contemporary music festivals and plays regularly as soloist in tango in some of the best meetings and milongas in Europe.
Tango crosses borders leaving the stamp of the past that re-emerges transformed in beauty, passion and sensuality. In this programme we will see the personal style of each dancer modernized, revealing the choreographic complexity of this “feeling that you can dance”. The intense work of the dancers keep the audience directly connected with the “porteño” (people from Buenos Aires) feeling that it arises from its scenes.
